Howell, Michigan, April 10th, 2024.  The Commercial Board of REALTORS® - Michigan (CBOR) and the CCIM Michigan Chapter announce “Trending in CRE 2024”, an event to be held at Comerica Park Tiger Club on May 9th, 2024. “Trending in CRE” focuses on hot topics in the commercial real estate industry and will feature two of the most prominent CRE economists in the country. AI and its effect on CRE is also on base. It’s sure to be a hit!

KC Conway, Principal and Owner of KC-nomics, LLC will discuss what the Fed is up to, inflation, CRE capital lockup, year-end and 10- year economic trends.

Tom LaSalvia, Head of CRE Economics for Moody’s Analytics CRE will discuss highlights of the Detroit economy, rent and occupancy performance across the four core property types at the national, metro, and Detroit levels, and current data and sentiment on the capital market performance on CRE.

Shannon Selby, VP of Real Estate for the Detroit Regional Partnership will explain the importance of “site readiness”. DRP’s mission is to create jobs for Detroiters and Michiganders throughout the Detroit Region and contribute to the revitalization of Detroit. Meet the DRP Business Development Team running with deals across the globe and line up your next home run!

Jeff Zupancic, business and AI consultant at Mosaic Business and AI Consulting will highlight AI in the CRE profession, and share why everyone should be getting ahead of the game versus waiting for AI’s impact.

We’ll pitch news about the “new and improved” CPIX.net commercial property database, now powered by Moody’s Analytics CRE technology. While Moody’s is at the plate, CPIX is evolving into a “researched” site with a team of researchers ensuring that the data in the Detroit metro market is a grand slam for Michigan commercial real estate professionals. It’s a real game-changer!

Only 200 seats are available for this event. Register early to save. Late registration begins on April 19th.  Sponsorships are available and includes logo display on all signage at the stadium.

One of CBOR’s greatest member benefits is CPIX.net, a commercial listing service that extends throughout Michigan, powered by Moody’s CRE/Catylist. The CCIM membership network includes brokers, leasing professionals, investment counselors, asset managers, appraisers, corporate real estate executives, property managers, developers, institutional investors, commercial lenders, attorneys, bankers and other allied professionals. Through this business network, CCIM members successfully complete thousands of transactions annually, representing more than $200 billion in value. Only 6 percent of the estimated 150,000 commercial real estate practitioners nationwide hold the CCIM designation, which reflects not only the caliber of the program, but also why it is one of the most coveted and respected designations in the industry. Regions and chapters, such as the CCIM Michigan Chapter, provide designees and candidates the opportunity to promote their business and educational goals through local and regional forums and meetings. More Information.

Nancy Allen, Chief Executive Officer of CBOR, said, The synergies that exist between CBOR and CCIM make working together a clear win for both associations. CCIM Designees and Candidates are required to be affiliated to a Board of REALTORS® and CBOR has been providing similar services to the industry for well over 25 years. The CBOR team is honored to be selected to further promote the highly regarded CCIM designation and the Power of the Pin.”

Alis Manoogian, CCIM, 2023 Michigan Chapter President said “The CCIM Michigan Chapter welcomes the new relationship with CBOR.
